Delhi Metro Receives Prestigious Kirti Award for Language Implementation

Navi Mumbai, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been awarded the prestigious Kirti Award by the Indian government for its progressive use and effective implementation of the official language. This marks the second consecutive year that DMRC has received this honor. The award was presented on September 14, 2026, during a Hindi Day celebration and the sixth All India Official Language Conference held at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre in Navi Mumbai.Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah handed the award to DMRC's Managing Director, Dr. Vikas Kumar. Dr. Kumar expressed his happiness regarding this achievement, stating that such recognition inspires the development of Hindi as a more efficient medium in administration, technical tasks, training, digital platforms, and public service. He dedicated this prestigious award to all DMRC officials and employees, acknowledging their dedication and hard work towards promoting Hindi.The event was also attended by other senior officials, including Ajit Sharma, Director of Finance, and Jayashree Sharma, General Manager of Human Resources. In a statement on social media platform X, DMRC shared that it was honored with the Kirti Award for its outstanding performance in the field of official language implementation. This award was presented by Minister Amit Shah during the Hindi Day celebration, alongside other senior officials from DMRC.
