Exciting Job Opportunities in Indian Railways: Apply for 1,465 Positions by October 15

Patna, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 1,465 positions under the General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) for the Eastern Central Railway (ECR). The deadline for applications is set for October 15. Among the 1,465 vacancies are positions for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP), where 910 roles are available.Other openings include various Technician roles in engineering and electrical fields, Junior Engineers, Depot Material Superintendent, Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor, Station Master, Goods Train Manager, Senior Clerk, Section Controller, and Commercial cum Ticket Clerk. The online application process began on September 15 and will remain open until October 15. Interested candidates can complete their registration on the official RRC or ECR website before the deadline.Applicants must possess qualifications such as a Matriculation or SSLC certificate along with an ITI, a three-year diploma, or a relevant degree in mechanical, electrical, electronics, civil, or other specified engineering fields, with a minimum of 50% marks in the 12th grade. Candidates must be aged between 18 and 42 years as of January 1, 2027. Age relaxation will be provided for candidates from reserved categories, as per regulations. Selection will be based on a computer-based test (CBT), computer-based aptitude test, computer-based typing skill test, document verification, and medical examination.Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from Level 2 to Level 6 of the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix, depending on the position.
