Gaya, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : The Pitra Paksha Mela in Gaya, Bihar, is drawing attention from both domestic and international visitors, showcasing the region's rich spiritual and cultural heritage. On October 4, 2026, 48 foreign pilgrims from countries including Russia, France, Germany, Italy, Brazil, and Ukraine participated in the traditional rituals of Pind Daan and Tarpan, honoring their ancestors.

Following the rituals, the international attendees shared their experiences with district officials. They praised the spiritual tranquility of Gaya, the management of religious sites, cleanliness, traffic control, and the administrative efforts made for the convenience of pilgrims. The foreign visitors expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to visit significant religious sites such as Vishnupad Temple, Pretashila, and Akshayvat. Despite the large crowds, they noted that the arrangements were well-organized and efficient.

During the event, the Assistant Collector presented the foreign pilgrims with a coffee table book showcasing the cultural and spiritual heritage of Ganga and Gaya-Bodhgaya.
