Gold and Silver Price Today: Gold and silver prices have fallen compared to previous levels. Both prices fell in the futures market during yesterday's trading. This has put a break on the two-day rally in gold prices in the futures market.

Gold-Silver latest price today

After a two-day rally, gold prices fell by ₹431 to ₹1.55 lakh per 10 grams in the futures market on Friday. The decline came amid investors' cautious stance ahead of the release of US non-farm employment data. Gold futures for October delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell by ₹431, or 0.28%, to ₹1,55,344 per 10 grams.

Why did the price of gold fall?

According to traders, profit-booking after the recent rally led to the fall in prices. Investors also remained cautious ahead of US non-farm payrolls data, which could provide new clues about the US Federal Reserve's interest rate stance.

Globally, Comex gold futures for December delivery in New York traded marginally lower at $4,528.54 an ounce. Gaurav Garg, head of research at brokerage platform Lemon, said, "The market is closely watching US non-farm employment data, which could determine the future direction of the dollar, bond yields, and precious metals."

Silver price

Silver prices fell by Rs 749 to Rs 2,41,600 per kg in futures trade on Friday amid profit-booking and a cautious trend in global markets. This halted the rally that had continued for the past two days.

Silver futures for delivery in December fell by ₹749, or 0.31%, to ₹241,600 per kilogram on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Analysts said profit-booking by investors after the recent rally weighed on silver prices.

Today, the price of 24-carat gold is ₹1,56,670 per 10 grams, an increase of ₹10 compared to yesterday. Meanwhile, the price of 22-carat gold is ₹1,43,610 per 10 grams, an increase of ₹10 compared to yesterday.

Meanwhile, the price of silver has fallen by Rs 1 to Rs 2,499 per 10 grams today. Consequently, the price of 100 grams of silver today is Rs 24,990, compared to Rs 25,000 yesterday. Similarly, the price of 1 kg of silver today is Rs 2,49,900, a drop of Rs 100 compared to yesterday.
