Good News for Bike Lovers: Kawasaki Z650 and Z650RS Get Cheaper by Up to ₹27,000
Motorcycle enthusiasts have a reason to cheer as Kawasaki India has announced fresh price cuts on its popular middleweight motorcycles, the Z650 and Z650RS. The discounts go up to ₹27,000 and are available for a limited period, making these bikes more attractive for buyers considering a premium naked motorcycle.
Revised Prices After DiscountUnder the latest offer:
-
The Kawasaki Z650 receives a price cut of ₹27,000 and is now priced at ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
-
The neo-retro Kawasaki Z650RS gets a discount of ₹20,000, bringing its price down to ₹7.63 lakh (ex-showroom).
These discounts help offset the earlier price increase introduced with the 2026 update, which was made to comply with E20 fuel norms.
The discounts are applicable only on MY25-manufactured units and will remain valid until January 31, 2026. Interested buyers can check availability and final on-road prices at their nearest Kawasaki dealership.
Engine and PerformanceBoth motorcycles are powered by the same 649cc liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine, which is fully compliant with E20 fuel standards. The engine produces 68 hp of power and 64 Nm of torque
Notably, this engine uses a 180-degree firing order, a configuration that has become rare in modern middleweight motorcycles. This setup gives the Z650 twins a distinct riding character compared to newer 270-degree parallel-twin rivals.
Market PositionAt their revised prices, the Z650 and Z650RS continue to occupy a niche space in the market. Most twin-cylinder motorcycles producing under 100 hp now fall into the larger 750–800cc segment, leaving Kawasaki’s 650cc twins with limited direct competition.
Kawasaki India has also announced discounts across its entire lineup:
-
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R gets the highest discount of ₹2.50 lakh, bringing its price down to ₹18.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
-
The Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX is now priced at ₹12.99 lakh after a discount of ₹1.43 lakh.
-
The Kawasaki ZX-6R does not receive a direct price cut but comes equipped with a premium ₹83,000 Öhlins steering damper, adding more value to the package.
