Hindustan Zinc's Shiksha Sambal Programme Strengthens Education in 75 Government Schools
Udaipur, September 5, 2026: Hindustan Zinc’s Shiksha Sambal programme is playing an important role in strengthening quality education in government schools located in rural and remote areas. The programme is currently being implemented in 75 government schools, where more than 60 fellows and field personnel are working as teachers to provide quality education to students.
Under the Shiksha Sambal programme, teachers provide regular classroom teaching, additional academic support and remedial classes to improve students’ learning levels. As a result, the academic performance of the participating schools has shown consistent improvement over the past few years. The progress reflects the impact of effective academic support and the dedicated efforts of teachers towards students. Regular training, mentoring and classroom support are also provided to teachers, helping them learn new and improved teaching methods.This makes classroom learning more effective and contributes to better learning outcomes among students. 12 Shiksha Sambal Teachers Honoured Twelve Shiksha Sambal teachers who performed exceptionally well were honoured for their notable contribution towards improving academic results and increasing enrolment in their respective schools. The recognition acknowledged their dedication and hard work towards creating a better future for students. Former Students Now Teaching the Next Generation One of the most inspiring achievements of the Shiksha Sambal programme is that some of the teachers currently working under the programme were themselves students of Shiksha Sambal in the past.After benefiting from the programme, they are now serving as teachers and educating the next generation. This transformation reflects the programme’s long-term impact and the spirit of giving back to the community.
