Japanese financial institutions flag currency fluctuations

Tokyo: Japanese financial and investment institutions have flagged adverse currency fluctuations and certain regulatory and policy issues as factors that could affect investment decisions in the short term, even as they expressed confidence in India's long-term growth prospects, the commerce and industry ministry said Tuesday.

The discussions, with visiting commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal, also covered measures to boost flow of Japanese institutional capital into India.
