Palamu, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : A tragic incident unfolded in Palamu, Jharkhand, where a 40-year-old man was killed with an axe following a dispute that arose while drinking alcohol. The victim has been identified as Gandhi Bhuiyan, and the alleged assailant is his father-in-law, Jagdev Bhuiyan. According to Saurabh Kumar, the officer in charge of the Chhatarpur police station, the two men were drinking together on Saturday night when an argument broke out between them.

Reports indicate that the disagreement escalated, leading Jagdev to attack Gandhi with an axe, resulting in fatal injuries. Following the incident, the accused reportedly concealed Gandhi's body in a cornfield. Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the village on Sunday and recovered the body from the field.
