Man Kills Four Family Members in Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh; Four Others Injured
Anuppur, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : A tragic incident unfolded in Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday, where a 32-year-old man allegedly killed four family members using a stick and injured four others. The attack occurred in the village of Amoda, within the local police jurisdiction. The suspect, identified as Prem Singh Gond, was living with his mother at his maternal grandfather's home.
Reports indicate that on Friday night, he assaulted the village priest, Gangaram, prompting villagers to restrain him by tying his hands and feet. Early Saturday morning, between 4 and 5 AM, his mother, Anupiya Bai, released him. Following this, Prem Singh picked up a nearby stick and attacked his family members. Among the deceased are his grandmother, Bhanni Bai Gond, aged 70, his grandfather, Sampat Singh Gond, aged 75, and his mother, Anupiya Bai, aged 50. The police reported that Prem Singh also targeted his uncle, Chain Singh, and his cousins, Chanchal, aged 6, and Bharti, aged 3.Tragically, another cousin, Monica, succumbed to her injuries during treatment, bringing the death toll to four. Currently, Chain Singh, Chanchal, and Bharti are receiving medical care at Shahdol Hospital, alongside Gangaram, the priest injured in the earlier attack. Upon receiving news of the incident, police teams arrived at the village to secure the scene. A police official confirmed that Prem Singh has been taken into custody, and a forensic team is collecting evidence.Investigations are ongoing to determine the motives behind this violent act. Authorities are questioning the suspect to uncover the circumstances leading to this shocking event.
