Satya Niketan building collapse: Supreme Court to hear case on September 10; may transfer matter from High Court
The Supreme Court on Tuesday announced that it will take up issues related to the tragic Satya Niketan building collapse on September 10, indicating it may transfer the pending proceedings from the Delhi High Court to itself if necessary.
A bench led by the apex court observed that the legal and safety issues arising from the Satya Niketan incident before the Delhi High Court significantly overlap with a broader, pan-India case on urban building safety and illegal constructions currently under its consideration.
