Uttar Pradesh Tourism to Promote Ayodhya, Varanasi and Taj Mahal at London Travel Expo
Uttar Pradesh is preparing to showcase its cultural heritage, spiritual destinations and tourism experiences to international visitors at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026. The global travel exhibition will take place from November 3 to 5 at ExCeL London, where the state aims to build partnerships with international travel companies and attract more overseas tourists.
The tourism presentation will highlight a wide range of destinations, including the Taj Mahal in Agra, the sacred cities of Ayodhya and Varanasi, and the historic region of Mathura-Vrindavan. The initiative is intended to present Uttar Pradesh as a destination offering heritage, spirituality, culture, nature and traditional experiences.
Spiritual Tourism Takes Centre StageA major part of the showcase will focus on Uttar Pradesh’s well-known spiritual destinations.
The state will also highlight major celebrations such as Deepotsav, Dev Deepawali and Rangotsav, which attract visitors through illuminated celebrations, cultural programmes and traditional festivities.
Heritage, Wildlife and Unique Local ExperiencesThe presentation will also feature the Taj Mahal, Lucknow’s architectural heritage and the historic forts and landscapes of Bundelkhand.
One distinctive attraction is perfume tourism in Kannauj, where visitors can learn about the region’s traditional fragrance-making heritage. The showcase will also introduce international travel professionals to local food, handicrafts and performing arts.
Building International Travel PartnershipsThe Uttar Pradesh pavilion will host meetings with international tour operators, travel agents, destination management companies and other tourism businesses.
The event provides an opportunity to introduce international visitors to destinations beyond India’s most familiar tourist attractions and encourage longer journeys across the state.
