Elon Musk donates Rs 4,000 crore to Republican Party despite falling out with Trump

Washington: Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has donated ₹4,200 crore to the Republican Party to help fund its campaign expenses for the US midterm elections scheduled for November 3.

Despite his reported fallout with US President Donald Trump, Musk has donated thousands of crores of rupees to the same party. After his differences with Trump, Musk had said he would not donate to anyone again.

The amount could have funded at least six rocket launches by his company SpaceX or the manufacture of thousands of Tesla cars.
