The horrific incident, which occurred on Sunday evening, involved the girl being stabbed over 20 times and her head smashed with a cement slab.

A few days prior to the incident, Sahil had reportedly threatened to kill her. The police shared that Sahil's anger was triggered by the victim breaking up with him and an ensuing fight they had a day prior to the murder.

Police investigations have also unveiled a potential source of frequent conflicts between Sahil and the victim. The victim had a tattoo on her hand bearing the name "Praveen." This tattoo likely contributed to the couple's frequent arguments and ultimately led to her untimely demise.
Following the murder, Sahil promptly switched off his mobile phone and sought refuge at his aunt's residence in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. However, law enforcement successfully tracked him down and apprehended him.
The autopsy report revealed a shocking 34 injury marks on the victim's body, with her skull sustaining severe damage. The police are currently awaiting the final autopsy report for further details.
