A Bollywood Director Demanded To See My Underwear: Priyanka Chopra Shares Shocking Incident, Calls It A ‘Dehumanizing Moment’

In a recent interview, Priyanka Chopra , the renowned actor, made shocking allegations against a director from the Indian film industry. Chopra , who had previously disclosed conflicts with leading stars as her reason for leaving Bollywood, revealed a dehumanizing incident that drove her to quit a project after only a few days of filming.

During the conversation with The Zoe Report, Chopra recounted a distressing experience while filming a scene that involved stripping.

She recalled an incident from her early days in Bollywood, stating, "This may have been 2002 or '03... I'm undercover, I'm seducing the guy – obviously, that's what girls do when they're undercover. But I'm seducing the guy, and you have to take off one piece of clothing (at a time). I wanted to layer up. The filmmaker was like, “No, I need to see her underwear. Otherwise, why is anybody coming to watch this movie?”

She further revealed that the director did not address her directly but made the request to the stylist in her presence. This dehumanizing moment left her feeling objectified and diminished as an artist. “It was such a dehumanizing moment. It was a feeling of, I'm nothing else outside of how I can be used, my art is not important, what I contribute is not important,” she added.

Deeply affected by the incident, Chopra made the decision to leave the movie after just two days of shooting. Her revelation has sparked widespread discussion and raised important questions about the treatment of women in the entertainment industry.
