In Kabir Khan's upcoming directorial venture, titled Chandu Champion, Kartik will portray the narrative of India’s inaugural Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar. Petkar clinched victory in the 50-meter freestyle swimming event during the 1972 Summer Paralympics held in Heidelberg, Germany. The project is described as 'the true story of a man who refused to surrender'. Currently in production, Chandu Champion is underway. The film is slated for release on June 14, 2024.

Following the tremendous success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in 2022, Kartik is set to reprise his role as Rooh Baba in the third installment. The creators of this horror-comedy have announced its theatrical release on Diwali 2024. However, the remaining cast is yet to be confirmed. The film is scheduled to commence production soon.

In September 2022, Kartik was unveiled as the lead for Aashiqui 3. Produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner, the third installment, helmed by director Anurag Basu, was confirmed.
