IPL 2025 Points Table: Latest standings after KKR vs CSK Match
Chennai Super Kings , already out of the playoff race, played the role of spoilers to perfection with a surprise win over Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 57 of IPL 2025. Despite enduring one of their worst seasons, CSK showed grit and pride, notching just their third victory to throw a wrench into KKR’s playoff hopes.
The loss leaves KKR stranded on 11 points from 12 games, a critical blow at this late stage of the tournament. With just two matches left, their playoff chances now hang by a thread — needing not only back-to-back wins but also favourable results elsewhere. To make matters worse, their Net Run Rate has taken a hit, pushing them further behind in the mid-table tussle, especially against a surging Delhi Capitals.
CSK, still at the bottom of the table, now have 3 wins from 12 matches. While it changes little for them on the leaderboard, the win is a welcome morale boost for a side that’s struggled to find rhythm all season.
