12 Injured in High-Speed Bus Overturn Accident Near Angar More, Koderma
Koderma: A total of 12 persons were injured when a bus on way to Ranchi from Satgwan overturned near Angar More in Koderma district on Monday, police said.
Locals said the bus, reportedly carrying 35 passengers, was travelling at a high speed. The driver lost control while approaching a sharp turn at Angar More.
Officer in-charge of the Satgawan police station , Saurabh Sharma, said the 12 injured passengers were sent to the community health centre, which referred two to the Sadar Hospital .
Deputy superintendent of Sadar Hospital, Dr Ranjit Kumar, said, “Brahmadev Prasad and Lalita Devi suffered head injuries and have been kept under observation. Their condition is stable and they are expected to be discharged soon.”
Recounting the experience, Lalita said, “The bus was speeding. The impact was so intense that I briefly lost consciousness.”
A search operation has been launched to arrest the driver and the helper of the bus, the OC Sharma added.
A sub-inspector of the Satgawan police station was among the injured. Most of the passengers were students heading to hostels in cities like Hazaribag and Ranchi, sources added.
