Coimbatore police announce traffic diversions for chief minister's visit on October 9

Coimbatore: The city police have announced traffic diversions on October 9 from 8am to 8pm in view of the chief minister's visit. Stalin will be inaugurating a new flyover on Avinashi Road.

Heavy vehicles and private buses from Salem, Erode, and Tirupur are prohibited from entering the city through Neelambur. Instead, they can take the LT Bypass from Neelambur, through Chinthamanipudur, Ondipudur, Singanallur, Ramanathapuram, and Sungam, then turn right onto KR Road, Avinashi Road, and Anna Statue to reach Gandhipuram.

Light vehicles entering the city from Neelambur can turn right at Thottipalayam Junction and enter the city through Thottipalayam, Kalapatti Road, and Vilankurichi.

Buses and heavy vehicles leaving the city from Gandhipuram bus stand via Avinashi Road can make a U-turn at Lakshmi Mills and exit through Puliyakulam, Ramanathapuram, Singanallur, and the LT Bypass. Similarly, from Gandhipuram, they can take Sathy Road via Ganapathy, Water Tank, Vilankurichi, and Kalapatti Road to reach LT Bypass.

Light vehicles and city buses traveling within the city via Avinashi Road should proceed to Tidel Park, make a U-turn, and continue via Kamarajar Road and Singanallur.

Heavy vehicles traveling via Vilankurichi, Thanneer Pandhal, Gandhi Nagar, and CODISSIA are prohibited from using the CODISSIA route. Instead, they are to take Kalapatti Road and Thennampalayam. Additionally, light vehicles from Thanneer Pandhal via CODISSIA should proceed to Avinashi Road via Gandhi Nagar and Pioneer Mill.

Buses, heavy vehicles, and light vehicles from Ukkadam via Aathupalam and Sundarapuram to Pollachi should turn left at Kurichi Junction and proceed via Pothanur Shop Street, Railway Kalyana Mandapam, and Chettipalayam Road to reach Eachanari and continue via the service road.

Buses, heavy vehicles, and light vehicles entering the city via Pollachi Road should not take the flyover from Karpagam College Junction but instead use the service road, make a U-turn in front of Eachanari Temple, and proceed via Chettipalayam Road, Railway Kalyana Mandapam, Pothanur, Nanjundapuram Road, and Ramanathapuram to enter the city.

Buses and heavy vehicles from Madukkarai Market can enter the city via Pillaiyarpuram Check Post, Sugunapuram, Kovaipudur Junction, Kuniyamuthur, and Puttuvikki. Light vehicles from Madukkarai Market should turn left at Machampalayam Junction and proceed via Sugunapuram and Palakkad Road to reach their destinations.
