Nagpur to Host Shivaji-era Fort Making Competition 2025 During Diwali
Nagpur: The city will witness a creative celebration of history this Diwali with the Shivkalin Kille Competition 2025 , an event dedicated to showcasing Maharashtra's glorious fort architecture and heritage. Conceptualised by MLA Pravin Datke and organised in collaboration with the Durga Jagriti Kille Competition Organising Committee, the initiative aims to engage citizens in preserving the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj through artistic models of forts.
Open to participants of all age groups, the competition will be held in three categories: Open, Primary School (Classes 1–5), and Secondary School (Classes 6–Degree level). The open category offers cash prizes of ₹21,000, ₹17,000, and ₹15,000, while the school groups will receive ₹15,000, ₹13,000, and ₹11,000 for the top three winners.
The organising team comprises Nirja Patil, Avinash Adkulwar, Vishal Devkar, Rohit Ladsangikar, Vedant Nathe, Vaibhav Ganoskar, Abhishek Kalamkar, Abhishek Savarkar, and Pushkar Dahshastra.
Registrations are open till October 17 at the office of MLA Pravin Datke in Mahal. The event promises to bring together art, culture, and history, offering a creative platform to celebrate Maharashtra's enduring legacy. (Reporting by N Soumya)
