BYD India has made a strong statement in the electric SUV market with the launch of the BYD Sealion 7. The highly anticipated electric SUV was first unveiled at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, and bookings commenced the same day. Now, the Sealion 7 has received over 1,000 bookings, with deliveries set to begin from March 7. With a booking amount of Rs 70,000, BYD is offering several attractive benefits, including a 7-year/1.5 lakh km warranty, a complimentary 7 kW home charger for the first 70 buyers, and a matching Rs 70,000 discount.

The BYD Sealion 7 is available in two variants—Premium and Performance—priced at Rs 48.9 lakh and Rs 54.9 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. Both models feature an 82.56 kWh battery pack, but their performance and drivetrain configurations differ. The Premium variant is equipped with a single-motor rear-wheel-drive (RWD) setup that delivers 313 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque, offering a claimed driving range of 567 km on a full charge. Meanwhile, the Performance variant features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup, producing 530 PS and 630 Nm of torque, with a slightly lower claimed range of 542 km.
