Kia Sorento India Launch On September 4: Check Price, Features And Engine Options
Kia has officially unveiled the Kia Sorento 2026 in India ahead of its market launch, bringing the brand's premium seven-seater SUV closer to Indian roads. The SUV is scheduled to launch on September 4, 2026, when Kia is expected to reveal its official prices.
The Kia Sorento is already available in several international markets, including the US, Australia, Canada, South Korea and the Middle East. The upcoming India-spec model has also been spotted during testing, building anticipation around its arrival in the country's premium SUV segment.
Bookings for the SUV have also commenced in India.
The Sorento will be offered as a seven-seater SUV and is expected to compete in the premium SUV space with established models from brands such as Toyota, Skoda and Jeep.

A blacked-out tiger nose grille dominates the front, accompanied by functional air dams and dark radiator grilles. The side profile gets black body cladding, pronounced wheel arches and large 19-inch alloy wheels.
At the rear, C-shaped LED tail-lights extend towards the sides, while a roof spoiler, integrated stop lamp, Kia badging and shark-fin antenna complete the design.
Other expected features include ventilated front and second-row seats, a Bose sound system, wireless phone charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A six-seater version with second-row captain seats is also expected.
Kia has confirmed that the SUV will feature its AI assistant powered by Live Generative AI, adding a technology-focused element to the cabin.
Internationally, the Sorento is available with petrol and turbo-petrol engines, along with a hybrid powertrain based on a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine. For India, the SUV is expected to feature a 1.6-litre strong-hybrid powertrain and a 2.0-litre diesel engine, although final specifications are yet to be confirmed.
As a premium Kia 7-seater SUV, the Sorento will take on rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian. With hybrid, diesel and AWD options, Kia is aiming to offer a versatile package for buyers seeking a premium SUV with advanced technology and multiple powertrain choices.

The official Kia Sorento price in India will be announced on September 4. At the front, it features vertically positioned quad LED projector headlamps and distinctive Y-shaped LED daytime running lights.
