The Kia Sorento 7 seater SUV is one of the most recognised SUVs from the South Korean manufacturer in global markets. Recent spy sightings of the vehicle testing in India have sparked speculation about a potential Kia Sorento India launch in the second half of 2026. If introduced, the Kia Sorento 2026 could become Kia’s first three-row SUV offering in the Indian market, targeting buyers looking for a spacious and feature-packed family vehicle.
Kia Sorento 7 Seater SUV: Design
The upcoming Kia Sorento design showcases a bold and modern appearance. The SUV features a tall and boxy stance that enhances its road presence. At the front, it gets distinctive Y-shaped LED daytime running lights placed horizontally, which also function as turn indicators. The lighting setup also includes vertically positioned quad LED projector headlamps.
The front fascia carries Kia’s signature blacked-out tiger nose grille with a combination of horizontal and vertical slats, giving the SUV a strong visual identity. On the sides, the Kia Sorento 2026 features slim body cladding, prominent wheel arches, and large 19-inch alloy wheels.

Globally, the Kia Sorento engine specs include a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 2.5-litre turbo petrol engine. International markets also get the Kia Sorento hybrid variant powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine combined with an electric motor.
For the Indian market, the upcoming Kia SUV India may be offered with a strong hybrid powertrain along with a petrol engine option, although official confirmation is still awaited.
