Mahindra & Mahindra has expanded its Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) lineup with the introduction of the Veero, a new offering in the competitive market for commercial transport solutions. Starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Veero is built on a cutting-edge multi-energy modular platform and promises to cater to a diverse range of business needs with its versatile powertrain options and impressive features.
Introducing the Veero: A New Standard in LCVs
The Mahindra Veero is designed on the Urban Prosper Platform (UPP), which provides a robust foundation for its varied payload capacities and deck sizes. Customers can choose from multiple configurations, including payload capacities ranging from 1 to 2 tonnes and varying deck lengths, making the Veero adaptable for different commercial applications. While the diesel and CNG versions are available immediately, the electric variant is set to launch later, aligning with Mahindra’s commitment to sustainable transportation solutions.
Powertrain Options and Efficiency
Under the hood, the Veero offers two distinct engine options. The diesel variant is powered by a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder mDI engine that delivers 59.7 kW of power and 210 Nm of torque. For those opting for the CNG model, Mahindra provides a Turbo mCNG engine that produces 67.2 kW and 210 Nm of torque. These powertrains are designed to offer robust performance while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency.
The diesel version achieves an impressive fuel economy of 18.4 km/l, whereas the CNG variant boasts a mileage of 19.2 km/kg. Additionally, the Veero offers a best-in-class service interval of 20,000 km, ensuring lower maintenance costs and improved vehicle uptime for business operators.

Additionally, an optional driver airbag is available for the V2 and V4 variants at an extra cost of Rs 15,000.
