MG Windsor Pro Launched At ₹17.49 Lakh With Bigger Battery, Fast Charging & New Colours
The highly anticipated MG Windsor Pro has officially entered the Indian electric vehicle market with upgraded performance, added tech, and revised styling. Priced at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Windsor Pro is being offered at an introductory rate for the first 8,000 buyers. For those looking for an alternative purchase model, the company is continuing with its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, which allows buyers to acquire the EV at Rs 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and rent the battery separately at a rate of Rs 4.5 per kilometre. Bookings for the new MG Windsor Pro will commence from 8 May 2025.
In terms of charging, the MG Windsor Pro supports both 7.4kW AC home charging and 60kW DC fast charging. A full AC charge takes around 9.5 hours, while the DC fast charger can juice up the battery from 20% to 80% in approximately 50 minutes — making it well-suited for daily users and long-distance travellers alike.
According to industry experts, the MG Windsor Pro's additions make it a strong contender in the mid-range electric SUV category. Its balance of range, features, and flexibility through the BaaS option helps it stand out in a crowded EV space.

One of the standout updates in the Windsor Pro variant is its larger 52.9 kWh battery pack, which delivers a claimed range of up to 449 kilometres on a single full charge. This upgrade gives it more practicality for both urban and highway driving.
