Nissan has finally entered the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment with the launch of the much-awaited Nissan Tekton in India. Starting at ₹10.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the new SUV comes with a stylish design, advanced features, multiple variants, and two petrol engine options.

The Nissan Tekton is available with two petrol engine options:

1.0-Litre Turbo Petrol Engine

  • Power output: 99 bhp

  • Torque: 166 Nm

  • Transmission: 6-speed manual gearbox

This engine is aimed at buyers looking for a balanced combination of performance and efficiency.

1.3-Litre Turbo Petrol Engine

  • Power output: 160 bhp

  • Torque: 280 Nm

  • Transmission options:

    • 6-speed manual

    • 6-speed DCT automatic

The more powerful turbo engine is designed for buyers who want stronger performance and a more premium driving experience.

Mileage Figures

The claimed fuel efficiency figures of the Nissan Tekton are:

  • 1.0-litre petrol: Around 19.5 kmpl

  • 1.3-litre turbo manual: Around 17.8 kmpl

  • 1.3-litre turbo DCT automatic: Around 18.5 kmpl

Currently, Nissan has not introduced a hybrid powertrain for the Tekton. A hybrid option is expected to remain separate from the Renault Duster lineup strategy.
