Renault Unveils Electric Kwid EV, Set to Enter Indian Market Soon
Renault has officially launched its highly anticipated electric car, the Kwid EV, in Brazil, where it is marketed as the Kwid E-Tech. Built on the Dacia Spring EV platform, this vehicle marks a significant step in Renault’s electric mobility strategy. Test models have already been spotted in India, fueling speculation that the car could soon hit Indian roads. Upon its arrival, it is expected to compete with the Citroen e-C3 and Tata Tiago EV.
The Kwid EV closely resembles the Dacia Spring in styling. The front features a closed grille with vertical slats and projector headlights on either side of the bumper. From the side, it retains the classic Kwid look with black wheel arch cladding, indicator lights on the ORVMs, black side cladding, and 14-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear is equipped with Y-shaped LED DRLs and halogen reverse lights.
