VinFast VF6 and VF7 Electric SUVs Now Up for Booking: Features, Battery, and More
Vietnam’s electric vehicle giant VinFast is charging into the Indian market with not one, but two feature-rich electric SUVs - the VF6 and VF7. The company has announced that bookings for both models will officially open on July 15, 2025, setting the stage for its highly anticipated India debut.
To support its entry, VinFast has partnered with 13 dealer groups, aiming to establish 32 dealerships across 27 cities in the initial phase. These include key metro areas like Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai, as well as rapidly growing EV markets such as Surat, Bhubaneswar, Lucknow, Coimbatore, and Visakhapatnam. The company plans to expand its network to 35 dealerships by the end of 2025, ensuring a strong nationwide footprint.
VinFast VF6 : Smart, Compact and Feature-Loaded
The VinFast VF6 is a compact electric SUV that brings sharp styling and urban-friendly proportions. It features a closed-off grille, signature triangular LED projector headlamps, and stylish DRLs that flow downward for a unique front profile. The rear sports wraparound LED taillights, connected by a striking light bar, along with a sporty roof spoiler and rear skid plate.
Inside, the VF6 gets a premium dual-tone brown and black cabin, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a driver-oriented layout. Tech highlights include a 12.9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, head-up display (HUD), and a panoramic sunroof. The vehicle is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, enhancing safety and driving ease.
Under the hood, the VF6 is powered by a 59.6kWh battery pack mated to an electric motor that produces 201 bhp and 309 Nm of torque. It offers a claimed driving range of up to 400 km on a single full charge, making it ideal for both city commutes and weekend getaways.
VinFast VF7 : Power Meets Practicality
Positioned slightly above the VF6, the VinFast VF7 is a sportier and more powerful offering available in two variants: Eco and Plus AWD. Design elements include a shark-fin antenna, split LED headlamps, flush-mounted door handles, and a rear LED light bar that spans the width of the vehicle. Wheel sizes range from 19 inches (Eco) to 20 inches (Plus).
Inside, the VF7 maintains a stylish dual-tone brown and black cabin. While the Eco variant features a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, the Plus version ups the ante with a larger 15-inch unit. Both variants are equipped with ADAS, OTA update support, a head-up display, and a panoramic sunroof.
In terms of performance, the Eco variant uses a single motor generating 201 bhp and 310 Nm, while the Plus AWD variant gets a dual-motor setup that produces 349 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Both are powered by a 70.8kWh battery, offering a claimed range of up to 450 km (Eco) and 431 km (Plus) on a full charge.
