Fully Online Aadhaar Update System

The new online setup promises a quicker, paper-free, and secure experience. Instead of repeatedly uploading supporting documents, UIDAI will now auto-verify your details using linked government records such as PAN, passport, and ration card.

Additionally, utility bills like electricity or water bills will now qualify as valid address proof, making it easier for citizens to update their Aadhaar with minimal effort.

New Aadhaar Mobile App Launch

A redesigned Aadhaar mobile app is also on the horizon. It will feature a digital Aadhaar with a QR code, allowing users to safely share or display their identity without physical copies. The option to use a masked version ensures privacy and security while accessing digital services.

The upgrade aims to enhance security, reduce fraud, and make Aadhaar more versatile in an increasingly digital India.

Free Address Update Till June 2026

If you only need to change your address, UIDAI is offering this service free of cost via the myAadhaar portal until June 14, 2026. Ensure your Aadhaar is linked with your mobile number, as OTP-based authentication is required to complete the process.

If your number isn’t linked yet, do it soon to take advantage of the new digital features.

A Step Toward a Smarter Digital Identity

These changes mark a major milestone in making Aadhaar more user-friendly and future-ready. With online updates, simplified verification, and a digital app rollout, managing your Aadhaar will soon be as effortless as logging in no paperwork, no queues, just a few clicks.
