How to Check EPF Balance Online

The EPFO member passbook portal lets you see your PF balance and contribution history online.


  1. Visit the official EPFO member passbook website.
  2. Log in using your UAN and password.
  3. Enter the captcha and sign in.
  4. Open your PF passbook to view contributions and the available balance.
The passbook also helps you track deposits made to your account over time.

How to Check PF Claim Status

If you have applied for a PF withdrawal, advance or transfer, you can track the application online.


Visit the EPFO portal and use the 'Know Your Claim Status' option. Enter the required details to see the latest status of your claim.

Check PF Balance Through UMANG

You can also access EPFO services through the UMANG app.

Open the app, search for EPFO, and go to 'Employee Services'. Select the relevant passbook or PF service and log in with the required details to view your account information.

Check PF Balance Through Missed Call

EPFO also provides a missed-call facility for checking PF details. Give a missed call to 9966044425 from your UAN-registered mobile number.

Your UAN should be active and your KYC details, such as Aadhaar, PAN or bank account information, should be updated. The call disconnects automatically and there is no charge for the service.
