There is growing buzz that the minimum pension under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) may be raised to ₹6,000. Although no official announcement has been made yet, media reports suggest serious discussions are underway. Currently, the minimum EPS pension stands at just ₹1,000, a figure last revised in 2014.
