The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has rolled out a major digital upgrade to make life easier for millions of Provident Fund account holders. Users often face issues such as not receiving OTPs on Aadhaar-linked mobile numbers or fingerprint mismatches during Universal Account Number (UAN) activation. To solve these hurdles, EPFO has now introduced a simple and faster solution, face authentication through the Umang app.
With this new feature, employees can activate their UAN instantly by verifying their identity through a facial scan, reducing dependence on OTPs and biometric errors.
