With this new initiative, pensioners no longer need to visit banks or EPFO offices physically, as the entire process can now be completed from home.

EPFO Brings Relief for Senior Pensioners

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation has launched a special support system in collaboration with the Postal Department to help pensioners submit their Digital Life Certificate (DLC) without difficulty.

This move is aimed at helping elderly pensioners who are unable to travel due to illness, age-related challenges, or technical limitations.

Missed Call Service: Doorstep Support at Your Home

One of the biggest highlights of this update is the missed call facility. Pensioners can simply call 033-22029000 to request service.

After the call:

  • A postal department official (postman) is assigned to visit the pensioner’s home
  • The postman carries a biometric device for verification
  • The Digital Life Certificate is generated on the spot
  • The service is completely free of cost

This ensures that even those with limited mobility can complete their verification without stress.

Multiple Options to Submit Digital Life Certificate (DLC)

Apart from doorstep service, EPFO has also made several digital options available for convenience:

  • UMANG App – Submit DLC using your smartphone
  • Aadhaar Face RD App – Face authentication-based submission
  • Common Service Centres (CSC) – Visit nearby centres for assistance
  • Bank Branches – Submit life certificate directly at designated banks

These multiple channels ensure that pensioners can choose whichever method suits them best.

Important Rule for EPS-95 Pensioners

According to EPFO guidelines:

  • Every EPS-95 pensioner must submit their Life Certificate once every 12 months
  • Delay or failure in submission may lead to temporary suspension of pension benefits

Regular updating ensures uninterrupted pension credit into beneficiaries’ accounts.

Pension Amount Under EPS-95 Scheme

The current minimum pension structure under EPS-95 is as follows:

  • Minimum pension for pensioners, widows, and nominees: ₹1,000 per month
  • Pension for children: ₹250 per month
  • Pension for orphans: ₹750 per month

These provisions aim to provide financial support and stability to dependent family members.

The latest Pension Update: Good news for EPS 95 Pensioners, Give a Missed Call and Work Will Be Done initiative is a significant step towards making pension services more accessible and senior-friendly. With doorstep service, mobile app options, and simplified verification processes, EPFO has made life easier for millions of pensioners across the country.

This reform ensures that elderly citizens can now complete their life certificate verification without hassle, travel, or additional expenses.
