Send a message to 51969 in the following format: UID NAME PINCODE
For example, if your name is Sanjay Kumar and your PIN code is 202014, type: UID SANJAYKUMAR 202014
Once the details are verified, you can receive information related to your Aadhaar number.

Retrieve Aadhaar Number Online

You can also recover your Aadhaar details through the official UIDAI portal.
Follow these simple steps:
  • Visit the UIDAI website.
  • Go to the Aadhaar section and select Retrieve Aadhaar Number.
  • Enter your registered name, mobile number, and captcha code.
  • Click on Send OTP.
  • Verify the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
  • After successful verification, your Aadhaar details will be displayed on the screen.
You can also download your Aadhaar card directly from the same portal. This service is completely free of cost.

Get Aadhaar Details Through Email

Another option is to request your Aadhaar details via email.
Send an email containing your UID, full name, and PIN code to:
getdetail.aadhaar@gmail.com
After verification, the Aadhaar number may be shared with you, usually within 24 hours.


Call the Aadhaar Helpline

If you do not have internet access or a smartphone, you can still recover your Aadhaar number through the Aadhaar helpline.
  • Dial the toll-free number 1947 from any phone.
  • Follow the IVR instructions to connect with an Aadhaar representative.
  • Provide details such as your name, date of birth, and complete address.
  • After successful verification, the representative can help you retrieve your Aadhaar number.
