July 2026 bank holidays: When and where will banks remain closed? Check state-wise list
Need to visit a bank branch this July? Before you head out, check whether your state is observing a bank holiday.
Banks across several states will remain closed on select days in July on account of regional festivals and commemorative occasions, according to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) holiday calendar.
Apart from these state-specific holidays, banks across the country will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month in line with RBI guidelines. However, digital banking services , including UPI, internet banking, mobile banking and ATMs, are expected to remain operational.

Here is the complete list of state-wise bank holidays in July 2026:
July 6 (Monday): Banks will remain closed in Mizoram on account of MHIP Day, while branches in West Bengal will remain shut for the Birth Anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
July 9 (Thursday): Banks in Meghalaya will remain closed for Beh Deinkhlam, one of the state's prominent traditional festivals.
