Nearly 1.11 crore candidates certified under PMKVY 1.0-3.0: Minister

New Delhi, July 27 (IANS) A total of 1.11 crore candidates were certified under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 1.0 to PMKVY 3.0, out of which 24.38 lakh were reported placed under the short-term training component, the government informed on Monday.

Further, PMKVY 4.0 shifted focus to empowering trainees to choose varied career paths and hence does not monitor placements, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Jayant Chaudhary, said in the Lok Sabha.
