The PM Jan Dhan Yojana ( PMJDY ) is a government-backed financial inclusion scheme designed to bring people who are outside the formal banking system into mainstream banking. The scheme allows eligible individuals to open a zero-balance bank account and access essential services such as savings, RuPay debit cards, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), insurance and pension-related facilities.
