PM Kisan 21st Installment 2025: PM Modi To Release ₹2,000 Payment For Farmers Soon - Check Expected Date & Eligibility

Millions of farmers across India are eagerly awaiting the PM Kisan 21st Installment Date 2025 under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. The Central Government, which provides ₹6,000 annually to eligible farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), is expected to release the next installment soon. What Is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme ?

Launched in 2019, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana aims to provide income support to small and marginal farmers across India. Under this scheme:

• Farmers receive ₹2,000 every four months, totalling ₹6,000 annually.
• The amount is directly credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through DBT.
• The three payment cycles are: April-July, August-November, and December-March.

Announced during the Interim Budget 2019 by then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal and launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the scheme has become the world’s largest direct benefit transfer programme supporting millions of farmers.

PM Kisan 21st Installment Date 2025

Farmers received the 20th installment in August 2025, benefitting over 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.4 crore women. While this installment was delayed from June, the next round, the 21st installment, is expected to arrive in the first half of November 2025, as per media reports.

However, the official release date is yet to be announced by the government.

Interestingly, the 21st installment has already been released early for flood and landslide-affected farmers in Jammu and Kashmir. On October 7, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan transferred ₹171 crore to 8.55 lakh farmers, including 85,000 women, under the PM-KISAN scheme. With this, farmers in J&K have received over ₹4,052 crore in total.

PM Kisan Scheme Eligibility Criteria

To receive benefits under the PM Kisan Yojana, applicants must meet these eligibility conditions:

• Must be an Indian citizen.
• Should own cultivable agricultural land.
• Must be a small or marginal farmer.
• Should not be an income tax payer.
• Should not be a retiree drawing over ₹10,000 monthly pension.
• Should not hold institutional agricultural land.

PM Kisan e-KYC: Mandatory For All Beneficiaries

Farmers must complete their e-KYC verification to continue receiving installments. According to the official website (pmkisan.gov.in):

“eKYC is MANDATORY for PM-KISAN registered farmers.”
