Why Checking Your Balance Regularly Matters

Monitoring your bank balance is more than just knowing how much money you have. It helps you:

  • Plan your spending effectively and avoid overdrafts.
  • Detect unauthorised transactions early and report them promptly.
  • Track expenses, bank charges, and interest credited to your account.
  • Stay in control of your finances without surprises.
  • Regular balance checks ensure peace of mind and smarter financial management.

How to Register for SBI Missed Call Banking

Before using the missed call service, you need to register your mobile number linked to your SBI account. The process is simple:

  • From your registered mobile number, send an SMS in the format: REG [Account Number] to 09223488888.
  • You will receive a confirmation message once the registration is successful.
  • If your number is not updated, visit your nearest SBI branch to link it to your account.
  • Once registered, you can instantly access balance and transaction information.

Checking Balance and Mini Statements

After registration:

  • Balance Check: Give a missed call to 09223866666. Your account balance will arrive via SMS.
  • Mini Statement: Send an SMS with MSTMT to 09223866666 to receive details of the last few transactions.

The missed call service itself is free, though standard mobile charges may apply if you listen to the IVR for more than a few seconds.
