3-month-old baby dies in road accident near Trichy
Trichy: A three-month-old baby girl died on Saturday following an accident in which her father lost control of the two-wheeler on which they were travelling and fell on a road near Thottiyam in Trichy district last week.
Police said the deceased, Dhivashini , was a child of S Sathish Kumar , 25, from Kamaraj Nagar , Musiri . Around 7am on July 20, Sathish, his wife and the infant were travelling from Panankadu to Melakottam on a two-wheeler.
Suddenly, a stray dog crossed the road and Sathish lost control of his bike. The couple and the infant fell on the road. The child suffered critical head injuries and was admitted to a private hospital in Trichy. Later, the infant was shifted to Trichy MGMGH. Despite treatment, the infant succumbed to injuries on Saturday night. Thottiyam police registered a case and are investigating.
