A Place in the Sun presenter Jasmine Harman left fans rushing to support her as she confirmed she'd undergone surgery and issued a fresh health update. Taking to Instagram yesterday (May 25), Jasmine explained that the "wind has been knocked out of her sails" after heading to the hospital, sharing a snap of her lying in bed in a hospital gown.

In her video, she addressed her fans: "Hi folks. Monday morning, hope you're having a good start to the week. Normally, on a Monday morning, if I'm not working, I would be doing my Zumba class. Today I'm not doing it, the reason being I'm recovering from surgery. I had to have a small surgical procedure. Nothing serious, just a little hernia operation.

"But I've got a couple of weeks off work; I know I've been a bit quiet on here, that's the reason why.

"Although it's a small procedure, any kind of surgery really knocks the wind out of your sails, so I will be taking it easy and enjoying the opportunity to slow down a little bit, which doesn't happen very often.

I just wanted to let you guys know."

She added in her caption: "I'm currently recovering from a small surgical procedure. Everything went really well, and it's nothing serious, but I'm under strict instructions to rest... which for me, is easier said than done.

"So for now it's comfy clothes, early nights and no Zumba! Anyone else find it hard to slow down and sit still?"

Fans rushed to the comments section to offer some support, with one writing: "Glad surgery went well.

I have no problem sitting still, that's all I've done this Bank Holiday weekend!"

Somebody else said: "Rest up Jasmine. I am currently suffering with sciatica in my back and leg... resting is difficult. Watched A Place in the Sun earlier, lovely episode."

"Hope the recovery goes smoothly!" another fan chimed in.
