A Place in the Sun presenter Laura Hamilton found herself apologising following a "fussy" property hunt. The Channel 4 presenter faced quite a challenge after greeting guest Paul on the show, who departed within minutes of the repeat episode broadcast on Friday, June 26. Paul and his best friend Tina were searching for a Spanish holiday residence in Benalmadena, seeking something that would satisfy their needs and Paul's husband Shaun, who remained in the UK during production.

Nevertheless, Paul was unimpressed with the initial property on Laura's agenda, as he admitted: "It's absolutely not for me, and if it's not for me, it's most definitely not for Shaun." He stunned Laura, as she confessed, "I'm surprised," while Paul outlined his rationale for immediately dismissing the property, reports the Mirror.

"You want to get out of here as quickly as you can," Laura remarked, as Paul responded: "Definitely."

Laura revealed to the camera: "I don't think I've ever been in and out of a property as quickly as that. But if Paul doesn't like it, I'd rather draw a line under it and move on because I'm pretty sure the next four properties are going to have a better reaction than this one."

Regrettably, Laura's expectations were not fulfilled, and she struggled to win over Paul and Tina with her subsequent properties.

At one point, she told him: "You sometimes make me a bit nervous, whether you're actually wanting to see any more of it," and she even labelled Paul "fussy".

As their search came to an end, Laura was left apologising for not finding Paul and Tina's dream holiday home within their £250,000 budget.

She told them: "When I first met you Paul, you had a clear idea of what you wanted and what you didn't want.

"It has been really tricky obviously trying to find something that stole your heart."

After hearing why Paul had rejected all the options, Laura added: "You have got a good budget but what you are looking for, the entry level for it is £300,000, that's what these properties start at.

"Hence everything we've looked at has had to push into your wiggle room. If you're wanting more modern, sleek, all of those things that I haven't been able to show you, I hate to say it, but you're going to have to find another £50,000 to £80,000 to put in the budget."
