Activists demonstrate in Trichy, Chennai backing Delhi protests
Trichy /Chennai: Dozens of activists held a demonstration in Chennai and Trichy from Monday night to express solidarity with those agitating at Jantar Mantar, Delhi against the NEET exam question paper leak and demanding the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan .
Members of All India Youth Federation (AIYF) and All India Students’ Federation (AISF) held placards and carried out the protest near Periyamilaguparai in Trichy. Protests also took place near the Head Post Office. In Chennai, students and professors assembled at CPI’s T Nagar office. Protestors carried signage and pictures of Delhi students being manhandled, while chanting ‘Ban NEET.’ The sit-in protest that began on Monday night was organised by AISF and Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), Tamil Nadu.
