Air India Exp cancels Bengaluru-Nagpur flight

Nagpur: Air India Express cancelled its Bengaluru-Nagpur flight on Tuesday, hours before its scheduled take-off at 7:30pm. The plane was scheduled to reach the city at 9pm and fly back to Bengaluru. The airlines cited ‘technical reasons' for the cancellation. Passengers, however, were messaged at around 3:30pm about the cancellation.

Frequency to stations like Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Indore, Goa, Bengaluru and Kolkata has already been reduced due to the ATF crisis.

Air India Express was the latest airline that started services from Nagpur airport, which is set to be taken over by GMR for brownfield expansion.
