Army deputy subedar held with 84 liquor bottles worth Rs 1.25L
Ahmedabad: A 43-year-old deputy subedar of the Indian Army was arrested by the Sabarmati railway police after he was allegedly caught carrying 84 bottles of liquor reserved for defence personnel at Gandhinagar railway station .
According to the FIR, railway police personnel were patrolling Platform No. 1 on Tuesday afternoon when the Daulatpur-Gandhinagar Express arrived. During the patrol, officers noticed a passenger crossing the railway tracks while carrying three trolley bags and a shoulder bag. Finding his movement suspicious, they intercepted him and escorted him to the railway police outpost for verification.
