Beat Fitbit price with boosted Huawei rival days before Prime Day
Amazon's big annual tech savings are slowly coming into view. The retailer's Prime Day sales event runs from June 23 to June 26, where we can expect hundreds of discounts on top technology and gadgets - but Amazon has already started the offers with some early Prime Day deals.
One that has caught my eye is a fitness tracker that, on paper, seems to have Fitbit beaten on value.
For those not signed up to Prime, Amazon offers newcomers a 30-day free trial, which will grant access to this and all Prime Day deals this month. The trial can be cancelled easily afterwards.
The Huawei Band 11 Pro packs in a 1.62-inch AMOLED screen alongside 50 metres of water resistance, a heart rate tracker, a blood oxygen tracker and the ability to track more than 100 types of workouts.
But the best feature at this price is built-in GPS, which means the Band 11 Pro can track your run, walk and cycle routes on a map.Trackers such as the Fitbit Inspire 3 don't have GPS built in, so owners need to take their phone on that run to track them properly. Given that the Fitbit Inspire 3 currently costs £84 on Amazon, it makes the Huawei Band 11 Pro look like an absolute steal.
Shoppers who want to stay with Fitbit might prefer the Fitbit Charge 6, which also has GPS built in, and is on sale for £92.77 at the time of writing.
With the band strapped on, it'll provide round-the-clock heart rate data, with 24/7 heart rate variability (HRV) measured, which can help identify when you need more sleep or even point out you may be on the edge of a cold.
