Burglar flees Hudkeshwar cops' custody
Nagpur: A notorious burglar, Ikka alias Harsh Ramteke of Tiroda in Gondia district, fled from the custody of Hudkeshwar police on Monday morning. According to sources in police, Ramteke was lodged in the same lock-up along with seven other accused allegedly involved in the murder of Pawan Suryavanshi at Manewada crematorium.
On Monday, one of the accused was being escorted to a toilet. Ramteke also requested permission to use the washroom and was taken by the guard to a toilet located outside the lock-up premises. Taking advantage of the situation, he allegedly fled from the spot.

Police immediately launched a search operation and formed special teams to trace the absconding accused. Sources said this was not first time Ramteke escaped from police custody. He earlier managed to flee from a govt hospital while under police watch. TNN
