CM Omar Abdullah lashes out at Mehbooba Mufti over Jantar Mantar remarks on Kashmir protests

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Monday criticised Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti for what he described as her "justification of the use of force" against protesters in Kashmir due to militancy, referring to remarks she made at Jantar Mantar.

CM Omar said Mehbooba should have apologised for her comments, arguing that they undermine the legitimacy of democratic protests in Jammu and Kashmir and leave little space for people to raise their demands peacefully.
