DGP asks cops to be vigilant during Bakrid
Ranchi: Police personnel in Ranchi and across all 24 districts were on Monday asked to remain vigilant during Bakrid later this week and watch out for anti-social elements, rumour-mongering on social platforms, maintain a sharp eye on potential hotspots and maintain law and order.
Reviewing police preparedness for the May 28 festival, Jharkhand DGP Tadasha Mishra instructed the officers to take preventive action against the disruptive elements. “Districts which witnessed communal incidents in the past should be on high alert,” Mishra said.

The DGP ordered for more effective functioning of the district control rooms, close vigil over the hotspots, adequate facilities for the deployed forces, smooth traffic, coordination among concerned departments and heightened vigil at the inter-state check-posts. Several other issues were also discussed at the meeting.
