E20 hate row: One influencer apologises, another defiant
Nagpur: Hours after Nagpur Cyber Police booked three social media influencers for allegedly using abusive language against Union minister Nitin Gadkari over the ethanol-blended E20 fuel issue, one of the accused issued a public apology for his choice of words. He, however, said raising concerns on public issues should not be viewed as a crime.
A video posted on the social media handle ‘Desi_boysncr' apologised for using offensive language, saying he intended to highlight concerns over ethanol-blended fuel and not to disrespect anyone. Despite the apology, the video that led to the registration of FIR, along with several other posts on the same subject, remained accessible on his account till the time of reporting. A review by TOI found over 10 reels on the ethanol issue still active on his profile.
