Fire affects ACME's four units at Pokhran BESS facility

Jaipur: A localized fire at ACME Solar Holdings ' Suryodaya Battery Energy Storage System ( BESS ) facility in Pokhran damaged four Power Conversion Systems ( PCS ), with the company estimating the revenue impact at around Rs 20 lakh.

In a statement, the company said the fire was caused by an IGBT-related short circuit and was quickly brought under control by its in-house fire safety teams following established safety protocols.

ACME clarified that none of the BESS containers at the facility were damaged in the incident. It added that only four PCS units were affected and restoration work has already begun using available spare equipment.

The damaged systems are expected to be back in operation within a week.

The company said the financial impact of the incident is "not material" and reiterated its commitment to timely and transparent disclosure of material information to stakeholders. It also advised investors and stakeholders to rely only on information disclosed through stock exchanges and other authorised communication channels.
